rethinking plastic

I watched a disturbing report on plastic debris floating in the pacific ocean. Plastic, which is NOT a sustainable resource, nor is it truly an easily recycled material, is a public enemy that is being proven to be a menace to the food chain, and our well-being. The plastic particles measured in the waters of the northern pacific out number the plankton. To learn more on this specific ocean threat, here are a few links:
