The New Bayou and Le Charrdonnay in Midtown Memphis

These have officially lost their midtown charm, and may as well be located in Bartlett; which seemed to be the crowd when I went. What a shame.

Not much they can do when forced out of the great spaces they were in for so long.
But i think the Bartlett comment was slightly harsh. The crowd at Le Chardonnay the last few times I went seemed the same.

I apologize for just now moderating my comments on this site. I have totally neglected it for some time. Thank you for reading/responding.
Maybe Bartlett was a little harsh. Maybe it was the night I was there, but it may as well have been any sports bar in the city.
I think they did a decent job with Le Chardonnay, though the bar area going back into the kitchen seems a little awkward and exposed (they had a really cool bar at the old place, didn’t they). And the lighting by the fireplace is too bright. I like the seating on the south wall with the psuedo wall and lowered ceiling, very much like the old. The rest of the seating I feel way too exposed, and it’s sort of bland. Maybe some more eclectic decor could help.
Call me a space snob….I’m deserving. I am all about good experience design, and this space is a little weird from the start. They’ve done an okay job converting it. It stinks they were forced out.
