new mailbox design

Sunday, November 1st, 2009, 9:29 pm, by mg.

Feedback wanted. Too much? People can never seem to find me, despite being the only house facing Oak Grove. I can’t stand the existing mailbox. For those that love this type of ornamental metalwork, it will be preserved and left underneath for support and to give anyone that still uses baseball bats on mailboxes something to remember.

Can you get a bright silver mailbox or paint it? You can also consider other bright colors such as yellow or bright green since you have your nifty computer model to test it out.

also you can taper the bottom plank extensions to get rid of excess weight sort of like the old design where the ivy only extends farthest at bottom of box?

Good suggestions! Will look at options. I was already looking at taper the whole thing and can easily explore that option. Thanks!

I would use a vintage lunchbox… maybe the 6 million dollar man? something of that ilk to polish it all off

Yeah, ditch that black mailbox and integrate a contemporary mailbox into the design — like this one:

I appreciate your honesty. Only a comp at this stage. :)
