This is a rare opportunity for a rare car with a rare exterior/interior color combination. This gentleman’s autobahn sports sedan of its day, combined with a Dinan chip and Dinan suspension holds her own with any car of this day. Beautiful lines, to match a beautiful-running machine. The engine is strong (it’s an M!) and it sounds amazing. The AC is so cold, it’ll give you a headache. I have well maintained this car, and as you will read here, she is mechanically sound. The paint still looks wet. Only body issue is a trunk ding. I have taken all the pain and apprehension away of owning 20+yo car. You’ll have a dependable daily driver that will make you giddy every time you get behind the wheel. I am ready to make a deal on this car—all reasonable offers will be considered. Car will be sold as is, but the is, as you will read, is pretty damn good.

This car is amazing on the track. She now is with a new owner, which is best—too nice to be on the track.

My first DE (Drivers Education) event. Memphis Motorsports Park. April 2006.

My 4th DE. Me driving, with my instructor Pat Williams, at Memphis Motorsports Park. Sept. 2006

Letting a Ford pass me. But I can catch him in the turns.
Porsche design never looks dated.968’s were the last of the front engine Porsches. They were built from late 1991-1995, when Porsche decided to abandon the front engine car designs (long story). It was the evolution of the 944, but they brought back some styling from the 928. This car was a masterpiece.
It has, almost, a perfect 50/50 weight ratio from front to back wheels. It’s 3.0 liter 4-cylinder engine, cranking 246hp, made this one of the fastest production 4 cyl. on the market. It is still quite the rocket by today’s standards
I have never felt so safe and confident behind the wheel. It handles like a dream, and I got to test it at a local autocross that was held on the track at Memphis MotorSports park. The 968 is also a becoming a rare car. Not even 13,000 were made over the course of 5 years, and only half of those were cabriolets, and only a portion of those were shipped to the US. People who drive these cars, swear by these cars. If you’re thnking about buying one, you can check out 968forums.com or 968.net for more inoformation and get advice from current owners. They are really a great group of people.
